SCWBA Recruits Students At Touro Law Center

On August 13, 2015, President Melissa Negrin-Weiner, Esq. along with Board Members Megan Tomlin, Tara Senft, Scott McBride and Dawn Lott, were on hand at Touro Law Center’s 1L Law Student Barbeque to inform law students the importance of the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association. Students were interested to learn of the various programs sponsored by the SCWBA.

By the end of the day, several students had elected to join our organization. For a list of our new student members, as well as professional members, click here.

Annual Cocktail Party Honors SCWBA Founders

On September 19, 2014 the Suffolk County Women’s Bar held its annual membership cocktail party at the Watermill in Smithtown. We were honored to have in attendance Founders, Valerie Manzo, Hon. Georgia Tschiember, Hon. Mary Werner, Hon. Hertha C. Trotto and Hon. Isabel Buse in addition to Judges Linda Kevins and Martha Luft. President, Melissa Negrin-Weiner, Esq., spoke of her desire to have the Association return “Back To Basics” , focusing on networking, friendship and women’s issues. As a start, President Negrin asked each attendee to introduce themselves and their area of practice. During introduction, several founding members shared why the Association was much needed then and now. Thank you to all attendees and a very special thank you to our Founders for your continued encouragement and support.
